Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack both scored for Chelsea within a few minutes of each other about ten minutes into the second half. Benjani Mwaruwari netted a goal for Portsmouth in the 69th minute.

Everton 2 – 0 Sheffield Utd
Blades’ defender Claude Davis was sent off in the 32nd minute for bring down Andy Johnson in the box. Mikel Arteta and James Beattie scored for the Toffees.

Aston Villa 1 – 1 Fulham
Villa remains unbeaten.

Ayegbini scores in the 84th ninute to win it for Boro.

West Ham’s woes continue.

Henry netted a brace as the Gunners routed Reading.
